Who Qualifies for ESOL Services?
The Home Language Survey (HLS), which is a part of the School Registration Process, is the "1st" step In the Consideration for Review for ESOL Services.
The HLS consists of “3” questions. The responses of the HLS will determine if a student will or will not be screened for ESOL Services using the WIDA sCREENER (World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment).
The results of the WIDA Screener are used to Determine whether or not a student is eligible for English language support from the ESOL instructional program.
P.S. There are "NO" referrals, of any type for ESOL services.
